Prieš keles dienas užsisakiau sau omnitel internetą namams. Komplekte gavau T-modemUSB(TMU-104) modemą su išorine antena. Nezinau kaip suinstaliuoti modemą ant linux. Naudoju Suse 9.2. Pagelbėkit jeigu galite.

Kas atsiranda /var/log/messages faile įkišus į USB lizdą modemą?

Nesu specialistas, bet bandyčiau jungtis kaip prie paprasto modemo per /dev/tty/ttyUSB0

Pats turiu toki modema, T-ModemUSB (TMU-105), iš karto turejau labai daug problemu su juo, bet prijungimas prie Linux sistemos yra labai lengvas, tik Omnitel galetu ant CD, kartu su windows XP draiveriais (tvarkikliais), parašyti instrukcija kaip prijungineti prie Linuxo, bet tai rodo kad Omnitel yra nesolidi firma. Taigi, aš prijungiau taip:

1.Kiek žinau, tai tik Linux kernel (sistemos branduolis) 2.6.9, ir naujasnis palaiko T-ModemUSB, jaigu jusu sistema turi senesni branduoli, tai neko ne išeis.
2. Kad naudoti T-ModemUSB Linux sistemoje, reikia išjunkti PIN koda, kitaip neko nebus, Linux neturi priemoniu kad ivesti PIN koda.
3.PIN koda galima atjunkti tik Windows XP sistemoje, deja..... Aš tai padariau pas kaimyna kuris savo kompe turejo Windows XP.
4.Windows XP sistemoje turi buti užinstaliuota programele iš CD, gauto kartu su modemu.
5.Atjungimas: Paleisti T-ModemUSB valdymo programa, spausti Search for  T-Modem, spausti Modem, spausti PIN query, spausti PIN code disabled, spausti OK, kodo skaičius palikti langelyje, netrinti (na tu žvaigždučiu), spausti OK,  ir tada darom kompo restarta. Viskas, kodas atjungtas.
6.Dabar galima dirbti su Linux. Kad greičiau butu, rašysiu schematiškai:
 Darbo aplinka KDE (aš tokia naudoju) > Start > Internet > KPPP > Configure > Acounts > New > Manual Steps > irašyti: Omni Connect Namams > Add (Prideti) > irašyti: *99***1#   > OK > Modems > New > Modem Name > irašyti: T-ModemUSB > modem device > išrinkti: /dev/ttyUSB0 > connection speed > išrinkti: 230400 > OK > Login ID (arba User Name) irašyti: omni > password > irašyti: omni > spausti Connect (Prijungimas)
7.Viskas turi veikti kuo puikiausiai!!! Šiuos veiksmus reikia daryti tik viena karta, kitus kartus tik paleisti programele KPPP, ir spausti Connect (Prijungimas), arba Disconnect (Atjungimas).
8.Norečiau pamatyti atsakimus, ar pavyko.

1. PIN koda galima nuimti ir per telefoną, tiesiog idėk į teletoną ir suvesk PIN kodą poto nueinį į Security and Settings arba Apsauga, arba į tą vietą kur galima nuimti PIN kodą ir viskas jis yra nuimtas.
2. skambinti *99***1#, šitas yra irgi nebūtinas toks ilgumas, galima ir paprastai *99#

1.Per telefona bandžiau, neko neišiejo.
2.Kad galima naudoti *99# tai žinojau, tiesiog šitame portale buvo patarymas naudoti *99***1#, tai ir aš taip parašiau, to labiau kad irgi veikia, ir ne tiek jau jis ten ir ilgas, vistiek, kiek viena karta nereikia ivedineti. Man ar 4 ženklai, ar 8 skirtumas labai mažas.

labai dekui parashiusiam kaip omniu jobana prijungt..
jei ne shi zhinute tai turbut taip ir liktu mana ubuntas nevartojamas nes be interneto :)
